“Variables. Warp and Weft Manipulations on Handlooms” is the result of several years of research and collaborative experimentation carried out at Kadipuu OÜ with Marilyn Piirsalu, and at the Pallas University of Applied Sciences with Mari-Triin Kirs. The authors of this book—artists and students—approach weaving as a system of variables, where elements can be shifted, disrupted, and reimagined.
Among the authors are Carolyn Carson (USA), Erna Janine (Great Britain), Jolanda Rietdijk (Netherlands) who show their works woven with RailReed.
